Training Scheme

Undergraduate Degree Programme (foreign-related nursing)

You will be considered an nursing undergraduate if you have never completed a nursing degree before. School of Nursing offers a group of curriculum to help you move into the nursing field. Along with the opportunity to socialize, you will also make friends and have fun while you study.

You will mainly study, but not least, Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Health Assessment, Fundamentals of Nursing, Medical Nursing, Surgical Nursing, Nursing of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatric Nursing, Nursing Psychology, Community Nursing, Life Development, Nursing English, etc. You need to study on campus for 3 years with one month's field visit in year 2, and then be posted to hospitals for clinical practice for 10 months in year 4. Besides, you need to finish one thesis and come back to school for your thesis defence in year 4.

If you meet all the requirements for graduation, you will be awarded with Bachelor of Science (Nursing).


Associate Degree Programme (Nursing)

If you not recruited into undergraduate nursing programme yet still want to join nursing, there is still a choice for you.

The curriculum you need to study are Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Introdction to Nursing, Health Assessment, Fundamentals of Nursing, Medical Nursing, Surgical Nursing, Nursing of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatric Nursing, Geriatric Nursing, Mental Health, Nursing English, etc. The duration of this programme is total 3 years including 10 months' clinical internship in year 3 and one month's field visit in year 2.

When you successfully complete your course, you will be granted with Diploma in Nursing.


Bridging Programme (foreign-related nursing)

Here you are if you plan to upgrade yourself to be a Bachelor holder in the nursing field. This programme will not only consolidate your nursing professional knowledge but also help enhance your English proficiency, which can bridge you to your further studies. 

The curriculum you need to study are Introduction to Nursing, Health Assessment, Fundamentals of Nursing, Medical Nursing, Surgical Nursing, Nursing of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatric Nursing, Nursing Management, Nursing Education, Nursing Psychology, Community Nursing, Life Development, Nursing English. You will be on campus for the first year and be posted in clinical fields for 5 months for the second year of this programme. Moreover, you need to finish one thesis and go through your thesis defence in the second year.

If you pass all of the above successfully, you will be awarded with Bachelor of Science (Nursing).
